"Caravan of Love" by the Housemartins from their album London 0 Hull 4
From the highest mountain, valley lowTurns out that this 1986 UK hit is an a capella version of an earlier slow R&B by Isley Jasper Isley (Listen here, if you wish.) Preferred the a capella, and was for a short time a fan of the Housemartins... and later on, a fan for a much longer time of its former member, Norman Cook, or Fatboy Slim for those of you who didn't know.
We'll all join together with hearts of gold
Now the children of the world can see
There's a better place for us to be
The place in which we were born
So neglected and torn apart
